Hi. I was wondering if you had any tips regarding the marketing of self-published fantasy. How did you get eyes on your books? I look forward to picking up The Dragon Songs Saga, by the way. The concept sounds up my alley.

I would say the most important thing you can do is network with authors who write in a similar genre as you. Help each other to expand each others audiences.

Will there be a sequel to the Crown of the Sundered Empire? It's one of the best fantasy books I've ever read (and the first where every single POV character was engaging). I check back every so often but can't find any updates on this specific series--hoping there's more on the way!

What is the difference between the Dragon Songs and the Daughter of the Dragon Throne sagas? They are listed as different editions of each book. Is the DoDT series in fisical editions? If not, where can I get the ebooks? They seem to not be listed in Amazon anymore. And, also, I can't seem to find the Prelude either. Sorry for so many questions, have a really nice day!
J.C. Kang Daughter of the Dragon Throne was the original series title for the Dragon Songs Saga. For now, it is the same thing, and the original covers aren't available.

Who is your favorite fictional couple, and why?
J.C. Kang Sturm Brightblade and Alahna Starbreeze from Dragons of Winter Night. Their time together is so short, yet so impactful on both. It's only through her eyes that we can see through his stoicism of knighthood, and to his underlying compassion.

What are you currently working on?
J.C. Kang I'm working on two new series based in the same world as The Daughter of the Dragon Throne. One follows the conflict between the Bovyans (descendants of the Sun God, Solaris) and the Eldaeri (Humans who fled the orc takeover of Tivaralan and mingled with elves on another continent). The other follows a sorcerer and fortune teller as they visit a pyramid to learn about its magic.
