Reet Singh My life is already an open book and what a story it tells!
Reet Singh The moon slips into her darkest robe. Giant fireflies sip daringly of my blood as I writhe on the forest floor and pray for the clouds to lift.
Reet Singh I would definitely go to Alice's Wonderland.
Having read (and reread) her experiences, and hopefully remembering what to avoid and what not to avoid, I might have a less rocky time there - less rocky than she had. How exciting that would be!
I'd take my writing pad, and a nice sharp pencil, and jot down my adventures for the next couple of books!
Reet Singh Hi Ravi,
I took about eight months, including the revisions - I work very well to deadlines and am grateful to my publisher for sweetly pinning me down!
Reet Singh Dear Sundari, For "Scorched by His Fire", absolutely the first thing I did was create the female lead. I wanted her to be sweet but smart, determined but impetuous, and deeply loyal. And so Mita was born - loving grand-daughter, loyal friend, feisty adversary and passionate lover!
Reet Singh Hi Inderpreet, Lovely question - glad you asked it! A 'hero' has to be a positive role model, in the sense of having several positive attributes even as he must have the occasional flaw to be relate-able. I don't believe he has to be a billionaire, but he must be successful at what he does. In some novels he will have fallen upon rough times, but for a HEA he must pull himself out of the rut to win the girl!
Reet Singh Dear Asmaa, glad to see you here. I adore Rudy Bhatnagar from 'The Cure was Love.' He is sensible, caring, and handsome. He has a sense of humor, great family feeling, and loves animals and babies. To my mind, he is the perfect hero!
Reet Singh Hi Ashwini! For Scorched by His Fire, the characters came first. It was not very difficult to know what Mita would do in a difficult situation, since she was independent and hot-headed. Without thinking, she involved Tanay in a scheme that kind of misfired. It was fun making things difficult for her. Tanay was a little difficult to develop initially, because it was hard for me to understand how a man would react in certain situations! In the end, I just imagined the reactions of some of the men in my family and friends circle, and it was easier thereafter!

Reet Singh I put away my manuscript!
I read, watch a movie....
I sleep on it, talking to the protagonists just before I nod off!
It seems to work.... by the time I wake up, I 'm back on track!
Reet Singh I am writing my second Romance for Harlequin India. It is the story of two doctors who struggle to overcome their individual obstacles so that they can be together!
Reet Singh I dream - then there's nothing to be done but to capture the dreams in black and white! Also, I imagine, I read, and I get inspired!
Reet Singh From my work place - inspiration is all around us!
