Writer's block is only my inability to focus, so I go downstairs and pull weeds or plant seeds. Sometimes I spend a day or two in my garden, and maybe another day or two visiting friends or walking on the beach. I'm building a house, so there is an endless list of projects to be completed. The further away from my computer I am during times I struggle to focus, the more focused I become.

I'm writing the true story of my life as a single woman living in a remote coastal village in South America, but it's not just about me. It's also about how the village is impacted by changes in nature, by government and commercial development, by people's own willingness to destroy their natural habitat. It's also about how my neighbor's culture is a world away from my own. The whole story a little complicated, but it's going to be a great read.
