I just co-authored a book with a noted Bible scholar - Craig Bartholomew. It's an accessible chronological presentation of the biblical story, following one branch of a family tree from Adam and Eve to Jesus. Is this appropriate for your group? www.30minuteBible.com for information and an excerpt. Interested by those who have deeply studied the Bible but never realized the biblical story, and those outside the church.

Unfortunately, I am so busy, the only reading I do these days is the Bible. If I get time I would like to read your book, but honestly, I don't see that happening with all that is going on in my life.

How would you manage to transition between a pure concept brainstorm and writing your first draft?
Robert W. Dallmann I generally transition by developing a list of chapters. Then I write the rough draft of each chapter as I feel inspired. I do not write the chapters in order.

I am also an advanced Excel user, so I organize chapters and progress using MS Excel.

Why do you spell Melchisedec with an 's' instead of a 'z', as in Melchizedec?
Robert W. Dallmann It is spelled both ways in some Bible translations...so I just picked one.

Hebrews 5:6 - As he saith also in another place, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.

Genesis 14:18 - And Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine: and he was the priest of the most high God.

Robert, I have a question regarding your goodreads group. I am and author and also operate a small publishing house. I've checked out your Christian group and realize that authors can post about their books. My question is can I post about an author's Christian book on your group? Robert W. Dallmann Sure, as long as it is not repetitive (posted over and over in a short time), and ideally if it is a topic that can be discussed.

Otherwise you can post it in "The Library - Books and Books" folder of our group.
