Dave Ives Well, not sure ... but ... My latest book is from my own experience and here's how I approached it 'plot' wise: I wrote about my experience during the summer of '86 while on a work study program between my junior and senior year at Ohio State. I reached a point where I said to myself, 'Too boring. I've got to get my character in a 'situation.' So I did. And, that's how I came up with the story/plot/adventure for 'The Dayton Dilemma: When doing the right thing, isn't the right thing.'
Dave Ives Write. Often and a lot.
Dave Ives From my diary. I kept a diary of my time in Woomera South Australia back in 1990-91. I wanted to just publish the diary but it didn't work for me ... so I decided to use some of the diary entries and write a story - in diary format - around it.
Dave Ives Not sure I get inspired to write ... if I waited for inspiration, I'd never write. So I just write.
Dave Ives Marketing my latest book. But, thinking about my next book project. I've got several ideas.
Dave Ives Writing. Creating. Bringing a story into existence.
Dave Ives Keep writing. Keep throwing mud on the wall; keep writing words; don't worry about spelling, punctuation, grammar, just get it down.
