Scott D. Brillon Maybe, if I made sure I had many spare sets of glasses, I might live in the aftermath of "Time Enough at Last" (Lyn Venable).

Scott D. Brillon This summer I would like to do a sci-fi summer. Definitely some John Wyndham, Isaac Asimov...maybe some Bradbury and PKD. And throw in some Zelaney and Harry Harrison. I always make lists when summertime rolls around. Depending on what my schedule looks like (I sometimes teach during the summer) I try to make it through as many as possible.
Scott D. Brillon I'm not sure it's a mystery, though one of my friends likes to believe it is. When I was almost two I put a corkscrew through my left eye. It is a family story that is often shared on my visits. A friend of mine likes to believe that that's just the story I've been told and that another darker story is the truth. I mentioned it to my father; he was not amused.
Scott D. Brillon Jordan Baker and Nick Carraway. I've read Gatsby a number of times and I keep hoping that those two will ride off into the sunset together. I can dream, ya know.
Scott D. Brillon I truly enjoy when I am surprised by something that happens. Something I didn't see coming.
Scott D. Brillon It started out as two separate ideas that kind of came together.
Scott D. Brillon I am inspired by almost everything. I'm not particularly one of those folks who waits for inspiration to hit. You work, inspiration will come.
Scott D. Brillon I am currently editing my next novel "Where the Monsters Came From", hopefully available soon. I am also working on a crime novel.
Scott D. Brillon Don't go to conferences. Don't buy a ton of books on how to write. Don't do it to get famous. Just sit down and write.
Scott D. Brillon I don't actually believe in writer's block. I think most of the time writer's get stuck is when they're forcing the writing and trying to make the characters do things that they really don't want to.
