I'm currently working on another book in the "Red Book of Tunes" series. It's about a popular contra dance fiddle player who suddenly becomes the caretaker for her elderly father. In the process she gets caught up in a mystery that's hundreds of years old, but that exerts an influence even today.

"Tales from the Red Book of Tunes" is the first book released in the "Red Book of Tunes" series, but it isn't the first one I wrote. I actually wrote the first book earlier. What I realized was that I was creating a very large scale fantasy world that included music and dance from the present time all the way back to a mythic past. It became clear that the breadth of that needed to be established early on in the series. So I released "Tales" first as a set of linked stories that hopefully sets the stage for the other novels by offering a view into each aspect of the world across time.
