Anna Durand Hi, Vic! Thanks for the question. I will have more Hot Scots content next year, for sure! That includes the prequels. Over the coming months, I'll be sharing some info about stories for next year. I'll announce the news first in my Facebook group, Anna's Romance Addicts, and in my newsletter. After that, later on, I'll share it on Instagram and my Facebook page. Definitely a lot to look forward to in 2025.
Anna Durand Yes! Callum's story is in The American Wives Club, the second multi-series crossover.
Anna Durand You can start anywhere since every book works as a standalone too. Many people come into my series in the middle, then go back to read the previous books. If you want to know the sequence for the Brit vs. Scot crossover, you can find that info on my website: https://annadurand.com/annas-crossove...
Anna Durand I recommend starting with the Hot Scots series. But every book in every series can work as a standalone too, so you can start anywhere you like.
Anna Durand Absolutely, Kim! The second book, The Mortal Fires, will be released in late 2017 -- but you can already preorder it on B&N, Kobo, and iTunes. It should be up for preorder on Amazon next month.
Anna Durand Many years ago, a neighbor of mine was murdered. Though the killer was caught and convicted, the reasons behind the murder remain a mystery. The way the whole incident unfolded was like something out of a horror movie -- hard to believe, but completely true.
Anna Durand The answer to this question varies based on what book I've just read. :-) After reading Mary Balogh's Slightly Married, I have to say Aidan and Eve are my new favorite couple. She's spunky and caring; he's gruff and often says the wrong thing but has a good heart. They both have wounds to heal, which makes them real, relate-able people.
Anna Durand Sometimes I do get stuck while writing a story. When that happens, I set that story aside and work on something else. Usually, the answer to my writing dilemma will occur to me just as I'm falling asleep at night -- and in the morning, I wake knowing exactly how to pick up with the story that had me stymied. The brain keeps working on problems even while we're not thinking about them.
Anna Durand I'm writing Kinetic, the third book in the Psychic Crossroads series, and also The Outlands Shifter, which came about thanks a fun contest I ran in my newsletter. I invited my fans to choose the strangest combination of story elements and I would craft a plot around it. The winner was "sensual American historical time travel workplace romance with a cowboy shapeshifter hero from the Regency era and a contemporary heroine."
Anna Durand Dangerous in a Kilt came out of my increasing fascination with everything Scottish (I have Scottish ancestry) and my love for erotic romance. I also thoroughly enjoy writing about characters from very different backgrounds who both have issues but fall in love in spite of themselves, like Erica and Lachlan do.
