John W. Primomo As a federal judge, I did lots of writing. My interest in history provided a natural outlet for expanding beyond the law.
John W. Primomo Learning new things. I have always been interested in history, especially the American Civil War. For The Appomattox Generals, I learned about two amazing and fascinating individuals - - so similar yet so different. For my book about Rudolf Hoess, the commandant of Auschwitz, I traveled to Auschwitz, twice, and other sites in Europe where Jews were rounded up into ghettoes and where they were executed. It has been an educational and meaningful experience.
