Georgina Penney Hi Genevieve, so wonderful to hear from you and thanks for your lovely words:) I've already got the next five novels written with characters from Irrepressible You featured and it looks like Penguin are going to pop them out once a year starting with Fly In, Fly out next January.

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Georgina Penney Usually I just talk my problem through with my husband. Usually he tells me I'm being daffy and points out that the answer is right in front of me and then I get back to work.

Who am I kidding. Wine... lots of wine is usually involved;)

What’s the best thing about being a writer?

Georgina Penney Reading one of my finished books and realizing that those characters came out of my head. It's hella cool. And wearing my pajamas in the afternoon is kinda cool too.

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Georgina Penney Get cracking! You've got a brilliant story inside you, everyone does. Ignore anyone who makes you doubt yourself and don't forget to play loud music, dance around your living room and enjoy life. That's what this gig is all about:)

What are you currently working on?

Georgina Penney I'm currently working on Scott Watanable, Michael Hardy, Clayton Hardy and Myf Lane's stories, which are all at different levels of completion. Clayton's story is due out on November 14th this year and Myf's should be out some time early next year.

How do you get inspired to write?

Georgina Penney By everything! I travel a lot and have met a lot of very interesting people over the years. Oh, and copious cups of tea and reading other good books. There's nothing like reading good writing to inspire a person to get click-clacking away at the keyboard.

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Georgina Penney I got the idea for my most recent book from the experiences of a number of lady friends who work on oil rigs in offshore locations. A lot of them are kickass broads who have a bit of trouble finding men who'll stick around while they fly offshore on a regular basis.
