Because I am working on my (first book) I ever wrote, I got the idea while writing poetry. It wasn't anything to speak about...lol. I have a passion for vampires, so I went with it. After the first few chapters, I found out that my character had a lot to say.

I'm actually working on rewrites on my first book Hellbound. Though it was traditionally published at one time, looking back, I can see it needs a major overhaul.
Being an indie author, it gives me a chance to provide my readers with a much more enjoyable reading experience. This book is not only being rewritten, but it is also getting a facelift. A new title, new characters, and a new cover. Below is a rough draft blurb. It is an adult paranormal romance I am sure my readers are going to love.
She thought she had seen it all, but Jessica couldn’t have been more wrong. She had read about strange creatures in her local newspaper before, but the attacks were growing more frequent and dangerous. Livestock and even people had been slaughtered. Being a vampire hunter, she knew they weren’t to blame, this time.
She made it her mission to find the answers to the happenings in her small town. Only time will tell if her digging will put the reports to rest, or will she discover an ancient secret which could change her reality?

The only advice I can give is to keep writing. Not all of your work will be epic, but if you keep pushing forward, you will succeed.

Writer's block is horrible, but it is all in your mind. You have to break through your mind in order to find your flow. One thing which helps is reading. I have a few favorite authors I will turn to for this. I will even go back to some of my older work and brush up on what I have learned over the years. My skills certainly have blossomed over time. It's a huge inspiration as well.

Inspiration comes from many places, but music is my go-to. I think music has a huge impact on emotions. I will listen to certain music and apply it to a certain scene.

Being a writer gives me the opportunity to express not only my thoughts, but it also allows me to create life. I love building the world for readers to enjoy.
