Do you Beta-Read? Writing is my passion and pastime. I write constantly, and I'm aways looking for another reader. I notice that Debbie Duncalf is on your list. She is terrific. Originally from Los Angeles, I retired in Germany, just a stones throw over the channel from you. I would like to be on your list.

If you could travel to any fictional book world, where would you go and what would you do there?
Brienne Dubh I would travel to Narnia through the wardrobe in The Lion The Witch and the Wardrobe and I would have tea with Mr Tumnus. I loved that book as a child.

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
Brienne Dubh I lived in LA for a short time.

How do you get inspired to write?
Brienne Dubh It's all very random. For example I can be out walking and spot a man or woman out walking too and think they have an interesting look, they could then a become a character. I would wonder what their life would be like and a story would start.

What are you currently working on?
Brienne Dubh I'm working on two things at the moment. A paranormal romance with vampires and shifters which I absolutely love working on. This will be the first of a series. The second is another contemporary romance which is really quite funny. The idea for it came to me one night as I was going to bed so I wrote it down to work on at a later date but the following morning when I read over it it turned into chapter one.

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?
Brienne Dubh Keep going and don't give up but if you do just remember it's never too late to go back to it. I started writing in the cupboard under the stairs with an old typewriter when I was very young. I was maybe ten years old but possibly younger. I gave up but eventually went back to it and I haven't looked back.

What’s the best thing about being a writer?
Brienne Dubh The thing I love the most about writing is getting to escape into different worlds and letting my characters say the things I wouldn't have the nerve to say in real life.

How do you deal with writer’s block?
Brienne Dubh When I get writers block I close the laptop and get out. I find the best thing is to think about is something else other than what I'm working on and enjoy a change of scenery for a short time.
