(view spoiler)[Secrets came to me pretty much as I was writing Dreams. I knew Cole and Tia had a story to tell and I knew who they both were and what they were trying to keep hidden.
Dakota's Autumn came to me as I was watching a documentary on the effects of flowers. How many people are turning away from Western Medicine and returning to homeopathic remedies instead. I began wondering if these plants and flowers could help us but could also do major harm, what were the seven most deadliest flowers known. As I researched those flowers the seven women of Deadly Flowers bloomed in my mind.
As for Touch of the Irish, well, quite a few of my friends seemed to be single this past Valentine's Day and were not getting along very well with their single status. These are some really great ladies and any man would be lucky to have them. I thought Eros must have been drunk and shooting lead arrows instead of golden ones on Valentine's Day....and from there the story just took off. Since I had missed Valentine's Day I thought the perfect way to rectify Eros' drunken mischief was to bring in the Celts and have Aine and the faeries correct his mistakes by St. Patrick's Day. LOL

I seem to find inspiration in everything from sleeping to watching my dogs playing to doing the dishes and driving. Music inspires me and strangely enough reading does too.

Interesting you should ask. I have just finished my first novella and it is in a new genre too. I'm trying my hand at Erotic Fantasy/PNR titled Touch of the Irish. I am so excited over this new book. It will hit virtual shelves on March 17th. I'm also working on the final edits of another new genre for me, Contemporary Suspense Romance, without the erotica, titled Dakota's Autumn. It is a new series for me based on an all female covert ops team. It will be out in May of this year. And of course I'm working on two more titles in the Sapphire Springs series, Irresistible and His to Keep. Both due out later this year. I am also attempting to write and publish a full length PNR by Halloween.

Think like Nike, and just do it. Your first work will more than likely be crap, but that's okay so was everyone else's. You will learn a lot from that first manuscript, but even if no one ever sees it the confidence you gain from finishing it will give you the boost to strive to do better. If you are one of those rare species of writers where your first book is totally awesome and everyone loves it then you will have more confidence to do it again.
So my advice is, be like Nike. ;)

This is a new question for me. I'll have to think a bit. I suppose the very best thing about being a writer is creating new worlds and people to live in them. To have the ability to put them in circumstances that I wouldn't normally find myself in and then getting them a HEA. Everybody deserves a HEA. lol

That's a great question. I've been quite lucky in that if I get stuck I can usually go back and read what I've written and it seems to clear the cobwebs away. On those really bad times when that doesn't help, I try to step away and do something non-writing related. When I come back an hour or two or day later I seem to be able to get back into the groove.
