I'm currently working on a collection of short stories wrapped up in a larger story. A woman is driving down a rural Wisconsin County Road during a snowstorm when she hits a hitchhiker with her car. The two of them end up trapped in the vehicle waiting for help, telling each other stories to pass the time.

I don't. I'm of the firm belief that you should only write when you want to write. I write when the mood strikes, which is often. The important thing is to write when you actually want to write. That's harder than it sounds. You might be in the middle of making dinner or entertaining houseguests. But you should still put pen to paper.
