We went to a snake park in South Africa recently and when I got home the idea of a snake and a mouse came to me, I then sat down with my pen and notebook and the story flowed from there.' Slithering Sam and his Broken Tail'

I hear or see something, just a word and then I write the story from that. I will give an example: I was at a picnic one day and I noticed an ant walking over the blanket with a huge crumb in his mouth, suddenly the name of the story just popped into my head ' Anthony the ant and his two princesses' when I got home I put pen to paper and started writing, the story just flowed.
Or if I hear a word I like, example: golden wings, I wrote a story from that.

Writing for children, I love to write for them as their imaginations are so great and they are so trusting. They believe if I say my snake talks and he befriends a mouse.. simple! I can kill off 'badies' with no problems and I always have a hero. How wonderful is that?!!
