Working first as a software engineer and then as a manager, I saw how bad the state of affairs is in Indian IT companies as far as dealing with the software engineers are concerned. There are still a lot of managers who don't think people under them anything more than resources. Book is based on experiences of many people and mine too from both sides of the table.
