Joan, so sorry. believe it or not, I've only just seen this question. I do hope things are getting easier for you with each passing day.
And to be perfectly honest, things are moving very slowly for me.
One of the things might me to get yourself in some of the goodreads lists and get friends to vote for your book; as well as to look for as many facebook author groups you can and join them.
All the very best and sorry again for this stupidly late reply.

The idea for this book had lived with me for ten years, prior to me finally sitting myself down in front of a computer and letting the animal free. That was 2002. I completed it in 2005. I put it under that figurative bed in the same year and only came back to it in 2013.

I think writer's block is an overused expression for tiredness. I tend to do something as unrelated as possible. Writing ideas then come along, without being forced.

Finding everyone and everything interesting. Everyone - and everything - is story potential.

Mean it. And be VERY patient...

I’ve just begun a series of children’s stories, and have a wonderful illustrator who happens to live just down the street. The stories are inspired by a translation/adaptation I did of a French pop song, believet. I’m also getting the idea of a sequel to the Wood, Talc & Mr. J together, set in the 1990s, in France. But I don’t want to give the title away just yet, as much as I love it.
