As it's the third book in the Never Forgotten series, it simply evolved as I wrote. I do not work from an outline, which is good and bad for different reasons. I didn't know how, or even when, Meara's story was going to end until I was about 1/2 way through writing book 3. I hope it provides a satisfactory conclusion for my readers. I am very happy with it, but I know it's hard to please everyone. :-)

Dreams, songs, stories, movies, television, real life...I find inspiration all around me. I love that I am a writer in the age of the internet. If I need to research something, it's merely a click away. At the same time, the internet is very, very distracting. I need to learn to close my browser and get to work!

I've just barely started a new series, although I'm having a hard time letting go of Never Forgotten. I know I will be back in this world at some point to write about other characters. I'm also preparing to promote the third and final book in Meara's story, Always Remembered, which releases on May 19, 2015 in ebook and June 16, 2015 in paperback.

Keep writing. Read. Get involved in the reader and author community. There are so many active groups on Facebook, Twitter, Goodreads, and other social media networks. Be brave and have others read your work. We are our own worst critics, and we are also too close to our work to see the issues that others see. If you can, form a group of writers or take a writing class to learn from others.

I love my characters like they are my kids. Creating a new world is wonderful. That said, I still think my favorite part is interacting with fans. I love hearing from readers, and try to respond whenever I can!

All kidding aside, I am also a mother, a wife, and work full-time as an eLearning Instructional Designer. When it comes to books, I'm a professional proofreader, a reader and fan, and a writer. I also like to craft book-related swag. (If you haven't guessed by now, I have a FULL plate!)
When I can't write, I tend to focus on one or more of the other areas of my life. Before long, the ideas come to me and I'm back at it. I also take a writing class, and that really helps me get over writer's block and fuel my creativity!
