Jason Beresford I think the idea first began to hatch when I was lucky enough to visit the pyramids about 30 years ago. Later, when I started working in a primary school I had to teach a Year 3 topic on Ancient Egypt and my ideas really started to crystalise into a story. Then I thought of a funny joke about the young pharoah Ptolemy (it is pronounced Tolemy but it has a silent P. A bit like if you need the loo in the middle of the night and don't want to wake anyone). And then the next thing you know, it has all come together as a book!

Jason Beresford I'd definitely go to Willy Wonka's chocolate factory. I'd avoid drinking the chocolate river and trying to transport myself by Wonka Vision but there are plenty of other treats I'd be delighted to help myself to. (With Mr Wonka's permission of course.)
