Jon Keehner Hi Journi-- my facts came from extensive interviews with detectives, witnesses and court documents. Much of the story is firsthand knowledge-- as I also lived it in 1990 (the victim, Rich Duncan, was my step-father). I am originally from Seattle (Bothell area) and spent time living in Duvall as well. Thanks for the question! Jon
Jon Keehner I don't get it-- I have the opposite condition-- sometimes I have to try and stay focused on the other tasks at hand that go along with being an independent author. Someday I'll query for an agent....:)
Jon Keehner I really enjoy the satisfaction of crafting a good story that people have liked. Its pretty simple really.
Jon Keehner I get most of my ideas from just watching the media or networking. Although my first writing was true-crime-- I am attracted to any story which I find fascinating.
Jon Keehner I am currently working on the research portion of two books: HE SAID, SHE SAID: THE SPOKANE RIVER KILLER which is about the murders of three women in Spokane in 1990. A suspect was recently charged with the murders and I am waiting for that one to go to trial (if it does) and a second book, FOR SHE KNOWS NOT WHAT SHE DOES which covers the story of Linda McNeely who was dignosed with terminal brain cancer in 2010 and was shot and killed by her husband in March of 2012 as he could not stand it any longer.
