C.E. Dorsett I scream and shout. Not really, though sometimes I feel like it. I have found that the best way to deal with writer's block is to play. Sometimes, I will distract myself with a game, sometime I will just immerse myself in music. The most important thing is that I distract my mind and get myself into a place where my creativity will recharge.

The most important thing for me is to stop reading and watching story based movies and tv shows. Other people's stories become a distraction and keep me from getting back in touch with emotional, playful part of my soul that gives rise to my stories.
C.E. Dorsett Music. Most of my stories start when a song strikes just the right chord in me and sets my mind going. So when it is time for me to write, I light a candle and turn on a playlist or a Pandora station. For some books, I have even created special Pandora stations just for that story. Music is emotion, and emotion is the heart of a story.
