Gay Yellen Just finished the prequel to Buckle Bunny, by Pamela Fagan Hutchins, and will definitely follow with the series. Also read two by Robert Dugoni, My Sister's Grave and The Eighth Sister. Both excellent. And a couple in the Sue Grafton series, because, among other things, her descriptions of food are often hilarious. And The New Girl, by Daniel Silva.
Gay Yellen Wouldn't everyone like to visit the world of Harry Potter? I'd like to be Hermione's best friend and go everywhere she goes, Hogwarts, Diagon Alley, and all the scary places, too. We don't get enough of her thoughts and experiences in the books, yet she's a fascinating character. Here's to Hermione!
Gay Yellen I've had a few real-life paranormal experiences throughout my life that are still mysteries to me: A psychic in New Orleans couldn't possibly have known anything about me (including my name), but "saw" exact past and future events in my life. A New York hotel room where both my husband and I encountered a "phantom" that threw us out of bed and onto the floor. A vivid dream of my father telling me not to worry about him anymore the night before he died. In an old house, a window that had been painted shut for almost 100 years suddenly flew open while a cousin and I stood in the long-abandoned room, talking about our relatives who once lived there. I look forward to more of these incidents. They are wonderful reminders that we still haven't figured everything out about our little world. Mysteries!
Gay Yellen The couple that comes to mind are the characters played by Katharine Hepburn and Cary Grant in the film "Bringing Up Baby." It's an old classic that I've watched more than once on TV. I love the prickly relationship between them, and the obvious underlying attraction to one another. It makes for great sexual tension and good comedy at the same time.
Gay Yellen I'm making notes for the 3rd book in The Samantha Newman Series: The Body Beneath.
Also, about to produce audio versions of The Body Business and The Body Next Door. Also reviving plans for a series of silly verse books for children. And researching for a historical novel. Did I mention that it's hard to concentrate these days?

Gay Yellen If my own characters aren't speaking to me, I read something else: fiction or non-fiction, anything that occupies my mind. I like to think it makes my characters jealous, because sooner or later, they break their silence. Although, if you've seen my latest blog post, it's been a bit tough to concentrate lately.
