If you could travel to any fictional book world, where would you go and what would you do there?
J.Z. O'Brien I would travel back in time to the world of the first people to explore the Americas some 13-14,000 years ago. The fight for survival in a new and wondrous land, inhabited by unknown species of animals and plants undoubtably made our ancestors that lived during this era of exploration the strongest and smartest of humans.

Who is your favorite fictional couple, and why?
J.Z. O'Brien Kenai and Pro in Surviving The Cull are my favorite couple. They, along with their dog O3 lived extraordinary lives in an extraordinary time. It was challenging to put myself in their place living without Glut conveniences until they find the vast store of Glut treasures in the wickiup, a find that profoundly changed not only their lives but those around them too.

Will there be a sequel? How will Eric fare in the long run?
J.Z. O'Brien Surviving the Cull is being read by beta readers now and will hopefully be published in the next few weeks. What happens to the next generation, the children of the characters in Surviving Abe in the aftermath of civilization's collapse is the focus of this story. I can tell you that Eric fathered a son before his demise, and that the son plays a pivotal role in mankind's biggest challenge since the collapse.
