Good question, Aaron.
When it came to the Laney Briggs Series I decided on the names after I finished the book. I wanted their names to sound Texan but also sound like the name of someone you might know. Although I knew from the start that Laney's Texas Ranger boyfriend would be named Gunner--sort of a tip of my hat to the plot-- since she shot him in the butt with her rifle in book one.
As to the Dirty Sinners MC, I wanted to use normal, not nicknames, with those characters.

At the moment I have six Laney Briggs books contracted. Book #2, Whatcha Gonna Do With A Cowboy, comes out Monday, August 18, 2014. I'm very excited about its debut. And from there Laney will be back in early 2015.
As far as another series...the answer is yes. I'm working on it right now. Hope to be able to give more details soon.

I started writing the Deputy Laney Briggs Series when I was pregnant with my first child. I couldn't sleep, so at night I stayed up late and typed away at the keyboard. Within a couple of months I had the rough draft to Pretty Reckless.
