A common bit of advice for all aspiring writers is to read everything you can. I absolutely agree with that advice, but I would also advise you to read everything you can specifically about craft, from self-editing to how to construct a plot to how to create vivid characters, etc. There is so much great information out there, and it can only make you a better writer.
