Tracy H. Gilmore Research is key. Yes, your story is a fictional one, but try to have it as close to actual information as possible, or be able to explain the new concept. Making contacts through social media is helpful. Finding a good editor, cover artist or marketing person is hard, but having friends who may know of one isn't.

Tracy H. Gilmore Currently I have 5 projects I'm working on. I rotate from one to the next. I know I should focus on one and be done with it, but sometimes my ideas for one book run dry so I work on another and keep going in the circle until I've exhausted all words for each book.
Tracy H. Gilmore Sometimes it can be from the mood I'm in. I write down my thoughts to help me overcome any depressed feelings I may have. It could be from seeing something in a store, or overhearing a conversation. Ive had ideas come to me from noticing a picture, glancing at a man or hearing a song. Doesnt take much for me.
Tracy H. Gilmore I've been fascinated with ghosts and thought how nice it would be to write a ghost story.
