Jennifer Dickinson I suggest keeping writing and following your dreams even if you don’t get picked up by the big publishers. There are plenty of different ways to see your writing in print and if you do your research and keep pushing you will achieve your goals. Just remember a no is just another step on the way to the yes. Have faith in yourself and your talent and do not let people steal your dream of becoming a writer.
Jennifer Dickinson I get my ideas from things that happen in my life. For example, the idea of the triad and the struggle to reclaim the estate came from a dear friend of mine who over the years has told me stories of her life growing up in Northern Ireland. Therefore, I did some research on how families lost their estates in Ireland to citizens loyal to the British crown. I wanted to see what the consequences would be on the future generations if a family of great means at the time were to succumb to losing their land and title. The history and folklore of Ireland also fascinates me, so I weaved that throughout the story.
Jennifer Dickinson I am currently working on the second book in the series - title unknown at the moment. I am also finishing up a coming of age story that explores young friendships and the impact they have on your life - A Sunset for Hannah. Hopefully it will be out by December.
