I will always pull on my headphones, drown out the world, and listen to music score. Anything without lyrics gives me a way to write a story to the music. I feel like lyrics guide the story a certain way, and I just can't write like that!

As Ray Bradbury once said, "you only fail if you stop writing."
Don't stop, even if that inner critic is yelling insults at you. We all have that darned critic and it will only shut up if you ignore it and push on!
Also, never take bad reviews/negative comments to heart. As a writer, we're all prone to rejection, but we should never let it stop us from writing. If it's negative, see why, you never know what you can learn from it. Without negative (as long as they're constructive feedback) reviews, we cannot grow as writers.

It's currently April's Camp NaNoWriMo, and I'm using that to try and complete the fourth book in The Hallowed Chronicles, titled, Michael. The story follows Michael, Gabriel's twin on his journey to find and reconnect with his kin.
