Yes, I am working on a new story about the early life of King David.
Lin Wilder
I sure worked to make the story credible but that is a question you need to answer for yourself.
Lin Wilder
Yes, if they did not, I would not have bothered writing them.
Lin Wilder
Of course. Malthus isn't an ordinary thriller, it has characters who take up residence in your mind. At least I hope they do.
Lin Wilder
Just one- I appreciate your interest in Malthus and hope the characters came to life for you.
Lin Wilder
Maybe that's something you could tell me- smile.

The final scenes with Joe Cairns. I did not know what he was going to do.

Hello Ella,
I'm sorry for not getting back to you sooner. Malthus is one of my favorites of the Dr. Lindsey McCall series. True because of two characters. In its predecessor, A Price for Genius, Joe Cairns endeared himself to me. It was hard saying goodbye. And then, when Morgan Gardner appeared in my head, elements of this plot began to show up.
I honestly did not know what Joe would do until I wrote it.
Thank you for your question and for your interest in this story.
I wish you a most blessed Advent and Christmas season to come.

I talk with my husband frequently about the stories- he warned me while writing the 1st book that prisons don't attract the best and the brightest so I knew Lindsey had to leave Huntsville, and Texas- while talking with John about the new story, he said how about a book about a new drug which prolongs life....Yes! She returns to what she loves-research but a new kind of medical research and in a new place, the central coast of California.
Lin Wilder
Not sure how to answer this because writing is something I have always done. The process has helped me decide what I think and believe has been one I have relied on all my life. Now writing fiction? That's new. And the characters inspire me! Honest!

The Price for Genius, the 3rd book in this series about characters I love and new ones which challenge me in wonderful ways.

Start writing but don't quit your day job.

We get to understand persons and places we have never known or experienced; we are forced to deal in an upright and personal way with the mystery and vastness of the other.

I don't think there is such a thing as writer's block. More accurately, I think is how do you deal with the fear of your inability to create the character perfectly?
