DonnaRae Menard Ask questions. Step right up and say Hello, my name is DonnaRae and I'd like to know... Except maybe use your own name. If you get ignored, wait 45 seconds, and do it again.

What are you currently working on?

DonnaRae Menard Getting ready for Book Three in the An It's Never To Late, Katelyn Took Series. Murder in the Village Proper. That comes out June 19, 2023. It's an edgy cosy mystery. But on the UBC, I have book 4, and a second fantasy, The Rift Witch.

How do you get inspired to write?

DonnaRae Menard It just seems to happen. A casual conversation, something I see when I'm out, a dream in the night. I'll tell you a funny story, one time I talked myself through an ending. I liked it so much, I had to write the book. Oh, that would be Murder in the Meadow.

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

DonnaRae Menard The idea of The Waif and The Warlord, fantasy, was developed during the times my grandson and I spent together while he was small. He loved legos and Marvel superhero movies. We played what if, or his favorite, what do you like better... We pretty much talked all the way through the book, and one day, I just sat down and started writing. On May 20, 2023, my first fantasy, The Waif and The Warlord will be available. It's all for Gracin, but if it hadn't been for Justin at Of Metal and Magic Publishing, it never would have happened. Thanks to both.
