I get inspired to write based on life experiences, current events, my beliefs, my personal experiences, sometimes pictures or simple wisdom to share. Sometimes its about something I've learned and want to share with others.

Start writing all your thoughts in a journal. Each day, Each week, or Each month set aside four times a month to write in your journal. Either time frames you choose, be faithful to that time. Don't be too strict on yourself. For example if you choose to journal your thoughts twice a week, then choose any day of the week and anytime of that specific day. Then go back and read what you wrote. Read books on writing. It helps to do these. Happy writing!

If it's fiction, I love developing the stories and the characters.

If it's poetry, I love the flow of the words and how they are put together in each line to have some kind of meaning.

I usually take a day off from writing and focus on other things. Prayer helps me, too. Then, I go back and read what I have written in so far and start thinking about the character, plot or scene. Then a flood of ideas come into thought. I'm back to writing again.
