Sahara Foley Yes, I love that one too. I've since renamed it. The only stories that aren't his are two short ones I wrote shortly after he died. I haven't had any inspiration since then. Guess he was my muse and eventually moved on to wherever we go after death.
Sahara Foley Hi Kenna, Sorry, I just saw this. I don't spend much time on Goodreads. No, I haven't used Bob's name in any of the stories. However, my pen name Sahara is a name he was known by before I met him. When he tried going the trad route back in the late 1980's, he always wanted my name as the author. After he passed, I wanted both of us as part of this journey, so I came up with Sahara Foley.
Sahara Foley Hi Carole. Thxs for adding me as your friend. :)
Sahara Foley I am currently working on ARTHUR'S STORY. It;s an adult, paranormal, sci-fi adventure that works around the Lady of the Lake and Excalibur. An ice-filled rain gutter falls 3 stories onto the unsuspecting head of Arthur Merlin, knocking him unconscious. Several days after his headaches stop, he finds that he has developed psychic abilities. Some we have never heard of before. Anyway, he ends up in London at the Institute of Psychic Research where he meets Dr. Ruth Burn and immediately finds himself attracted to her. This does have a romance in the story, but it's mostly about Arthur being pulled to England and he doesn't understand why. He finds his answers at Lake George while they are searching for the Lady of the Lake and Excalibur. What would you sacrifice to save the world from Excalibur?
Sahara Foley Hi Cynthia, thank you for your question.
I do a lot of editing. Bob's stories are only the original outlines, as most stories are when first written by the writers. I flesh out the characters and settings. I've even changed some of the characters appearances. Sometimes it takes me awhile to really understand what Bob meant by some actions. When I'm done, it's hard for me to see where Bob's writing is and where my starts. We always worked well together, so this is just part of the ongoing process.
I'm currently working on the ones I had already typed at one time onto paper. I have a box full of stories on yellow legal pads, written in pencil. Just like in IT LIVE IN THE BASEMENT. FYI, we actually lived in that house and the basement is just like in the story. Scary.
My current project is ARTHUR'S STORY, which is one of mine favorites. This one is a paranormal, sci-fi romance novel. Hope to have it released by end of August.
Sahara Foley All of my stories come from my late husband, Bob. He was a gifted storyteller. Unfortunately, we were unable to get any of his stories published the traditional way. This was back in the late 1980's early 1990's. Everyday I would read what he had wrote. I also typed up all the manuscripts. That was before computers or the internet. So I was very much involved with the plots and the characters. I loved them. After he passed on Christmas of 2012, I suddenly had the idea to try to publish his stories. Thankfully, most of his rough drafts survived over our 30 years together. Now, I'm bringing his children to life. Finally.
