Roxanne Fawley My life as a victim of many kinds of abuse including sexual, but more importantly the healing that took place 7 years ago. I went from thinking suicide was the only solution to my pain, to it not even being an option no matter how dire circumstances get. I have been peaceful and stable through many recent trials. I am happy and content like never before. No one is hopeless or worthless, no matter how strong the feelings. Such thoughts are lies straight from the pit of hell. The truth is what set me free and what I share in my book with the only purpose of helping others. Even all the profits from the sales of my book will go to the prevention of, rescuing from and restoration of victims of human trafficking.
Roxanne Fawley I tell these stories about my experiences and often have people tell me I should write a book. My first book was a result of being prompted by God to share with others how He helped me overcome years of abuse and believing lies about myself. That total restoration is possible for every survivor.
Roxanne Fawley I have discovered that I like to write poems for fun. I am also working on a book about my friendship with a quadriplegic man who had locked-in-syndrome. He could only communicate by looking up for yes, and down for no. We were friends for 8 years by communicating with an alphabet board, one letter at a time. There was nothing wrong with his mind. He was fun to visit because of his great sense of humor and grateful attitude. We started writing his story when he was alive and he wanted it to be called, "Knock, Knock...I'm Here." Mainly because he was often treated as if he wasn't, "all there".
Roxanne Fawley Just begin. Start. Do it! Write about a dream you had. A memory from your childhood. Your worst job, etc. Commit to writing at least one paragraph a day and you'll be surprised when you just keep going.
Roxanne Fawley Having people say they've been blessed by what you've written.
Roxanne Fawley I read books like: "1,000 Creative Writing Prompts Vol. 2" by Bryan Cohen and Jeremiah Jones.
