Earth, in the Star Trek universe, I suppose. Barring that, perhaps my own Pitcairn, but only if I could be a scientist at the Ellis Research Station. Still, there's that higher gravity to contend with. Let's stick with being a Federation scientist on Earth, with an occasional excursion out into the wider universe.

That's a tough one. I've thought about this for a day or two and haven't come up with a good answer. The best I could think of was that I've wondered about my father's activities in WWII. I know roughly what he did, but he didn't talked about it in detail. He was a driver for a Colonel, and there may have been a story there.

I don't usually think in those terms, but if I have to choose, I could think of Kate Beckett and Richard Castle. Their struggle over several seasons to address their feelings was interesting. I was impressed, too, about how Kate changed after they were married. She seemed much happier, even more notable if the rumors that the two actors didn't get along are true.
I also like the McCords on Madame Secretary, two very busy, successful people trying to balance demanding careers and family.
If you've read my novels, I have created several couples that I'm fond of: John and Stephanie Shuford especially.

The original idea for Tau Ceti: A Ship from Earth expanded to material for a trilogy. I am currently writing the first draft of vol. 3, planning to release it for the holidays this year.

I force myself to write something, just to make progress and see where the story takes me, knowing I can always go back and polish, delete, or revise as necessary later.

Years ago, I toured old Sacramento with my family. When we visited the Wells Fargo museum there, I saw a display about the Wells Fargo wagon, and how important it was to families out on the prairies far from civilization. Their isolation made me think about the isolation colonists would experience on the planet of another star, separated by years of travel time. From this came my trilogy about Tau Ceti 2, a planet where supply ships only arrive every twenty years.
