All inspiration comes from within. When something in the outside world resonates with what is already inside, a creative spark issues. I think my writing would, then, be a reflection of what my current state of inner development would be.

This often happens when I am going with the flow of a particular project, and get stuck in the rocks at some point of the story. One way to overcome this is to simply write smaller pieces which are different from the main project, till inspiration strikes again. Another way is to do a lot of reading in the 'block period'.

Never give up, even if you feel your work is lousy (even if it really is!); if writing is your passion, you must keep on and on writing about what you love, till you develop your own style. Don't try to write what is 'popular'.
