The best thing about being a writer is hearing from readers who liked my work. My number one goal is entertainment. There is nothing better than hearing from a reader who was entertained and is looking forward to your next book.

I initially got the idea for Vengeance from a newspaper article about a woman who had framed her boyfriend for murder 10 years earlier and gotten away with it. She'd staged a home invasion and called him for help. The man took the life of the intruder and was later charged with murder. This provided the spark for the character named Crystal in my book.

I get inspired to write by spending time doing other things. My favorite activities are hiking, skiing, fishing, and travel. I also find that I often get inspired to write when I'm reading the work of other authors.

My advice to aspiring writers is to begin by writing the genre that you enjoy reading most. When I was first starting out I went to the library and read every book on writing they had. I also read books by best selling authors in the Thriller genre.
Make time to write at least 5 days a week. The more you write the easier it will become. Also spend time reading and studying other works of fiction. This is the best way to learn both grammar and word usage.

I'm currently writing the next book in the Reece Culver Thriller series, SABOTAGE. This book will be available in the later half of 2015.

I've been lucky that I've never yet experience real writer's block. When I feel tired or am unmotivated to write I start by reading what I've already written. This usually gets me interested in writing new material. If that doesn't work I get outside and do something enjoyable like hiking or taking our dog for a walk.
