D.H. Richards The idea of a city with multiple levels popped into my head. I think I probably got it from the 3 Star Wars"prequels" and how the city of Courasant just goes down seemingly forever... not sure how I got to the mystery, but I thought, why would anyone care about the city? Murder usually works.
D.H. Richards I find listening to music helps. But I also try to read a lot and listen to the radio (NPR) for stories that will get me thinking "what if?"
D.H. Richards Sequels... and a "Lord of the Rings" quest story that seeks to undermine that genre at every turn.
D.H. Richards Difficult one, as I consider myself an aspiring writer myself. Keep going?
D.H. Richards I enjoy un-spooling the stories in my head.
D.H. Richards I walk away and then that night, as I drift off to sleep, I think about the story and see if I can find a way forward. I also often think about how to keep going when I exercise. Both ways seem to work.
