This car hasn't moved in days, and I've been leaving parking tickets on it.
It was only after the tow truck driver I'd called accidentally dropped the car did I notice there was a corpse in the driver's seat.

Narnia comes to mind, though I think that's a 10-year-old me answering. Instead I'll cheat the answer by saying the Mass Effect universe by way of the mass paperback stories that got published. Plenty of things to do and see when you can travel the stars.

That's a difficult question, because I've had many couples that I've loved, including my own. For me, two of my favorite stories are The Time Traveler's Wife and The Lake House. Both stories had very compelling, and I rooted for both couples to prevail.
So it comes down to Henry and Clare vs Alex and Kate. In the end, I think Henry and Clare take it because their life story was just a little more disjointed and they had to work a bit harder to make things work. That left me rooting for their relationship while Alex and Kate got their "happily ever after".

There are many reasons. First and foremost, I love being able to write a story and have someone enjoy it. For me being an author isn't about money, it's about providing people with entertainment.
The second thing though came as a surprise to me after publishing. I like being an author for the interactions with people face to face. I get to meet and chat with tons of people, because I like doing events, and that means that I get to geek-out with them about anything and everything. I get to make friends everywhere I go.

It's true, he doesn't speak Old English. As well he recognizes bound books and his mannerisms are off. These are not oversights, but in actuality, calculated insertions. Unfortunately there wasn't a way to address the specifics in R.E.birth because of a specific plot in R.E.solve (book 2 in the Rain Experience series) that starts shedding some light.
The simplest answer without any true spoilers is they're not on Earth. Their timeline has progressed differently and this world's Dark Ages is different than ours. Yes, it might seem a little confusing while reading, but there's purpose. I promise.

My advice is to thoroughly research whether you want to go with the trad or indie publish route. Indie is much more work and possibly more money out of pocket, but in my opinion, worth it.

A lot of times I will indulge in watching sci-fi and fantasy shows and video games just to keep my mind active. I'll relax a bit and then sit down in front of the computer again.

Since the conclusion of the Rain Experience series, I've moved onto writing a technothriller with zombies in it. It's currently called "M's Apocalypse", though that's not the final name.

Music really helps. I listen to a wide range of things from jazz to dubstep to rock. I never know what song will spark inspiration but when it hits, it hits hard. Given the right song, I can actually play a whole scene in my head like a movie.
