I'm currently working on several projects. After seven years writing my blog, The Witty Ways of a Wayward Wife, I decided I would pull the best posts together and publish them as The Very Best of The Witty Ways of a Wayward Wife. It's a bit like cheating but what the heck - I just like seeing my name on the front of a book. It's almost as good as sex! One day I might write a book about sex - now that would be really thrilling. I'd have to do lots of "research" for that one, obviously.
Another project is a sequel to my short story collection, A Modern Life. It will be more "Modern" stories of a bizarre nature with a few twists. The story I'm writing at the moment is Rock Star Pig - about a pig who is a rock star.(It's all in the title!) It may not work - which probably wouldn't come as surprise to anyone and certainly not to me:D I just liked the idea of pig in drag and thought I'd have some fun seeing what happened.
I also have a romantic slapstick-comedy/thriller on the back-burner. It's a bit oddball!

Research.
I can legitimately read, look or listen to anything on the net with the excuse of it being"research". It's saved me from divorce several times.

Luckily, it's not something I've suffered from as yet. Probably because my mind is full of all sorts of madness! However, the fact that I've not encountered writer's block yet may be because I don't follow a routine - I write when I like and when my family commitments allow it. Therefore, when I do sit down to write, everything flows out comparatively easily. The more spontaneity there is in my writing generally the better it is - I don't make plans/outlines etc I get an idea in my head and just run with it. Everyone has to find a method that suits them and that works just fine for me. Of course not having a routine also allows me to go off and do whatever else I like which often provides me with inspiration and material, especially for my blog, so everything I do and see is, in a sense, research/material for my writing. It's a win-win situation - except for when I have to clean the bathroom. That doesn't normally provide any inspiration at all:D
