My books have Christian themes and usually deal with one or more issue. So the first thing that inspires me is the issue I wish to write about. Then I determine how to deal with that issue in a Christian way. Then I start writing.

I am currently working on the first book in my series. I did not write them in order, so even though 2 and 3 are finished, number one is just begun.

My advice for aspiring writers is to read a lot. My further advice is if you get an idea, start writing, so you can capture it. Then if you want outlines or plot summaries later to keep it going, write those down. but don't wait to start writing a few paragraphs or as much as you can. If you do, you may lose the idea, and then you may never get it back.

I deal with writers block by putting the work aside and reading books I have waiting to read. Then, after a few days, I reread what I've written on my latest book, and usually, I end up writing again.
