Sara Trigo The best thing I can do when I'm dealing with writer's block is to stop writing and do something else, because if I force myself to writing, I know it's just a waste of time - I will eventually delete every single forced sentence.
So I close my computer or put the pen down, go back to living and, later, only when inspiration comes, I will come back to the text I was about to write.
Sara Trigo As I write about the world that I know, almost anything inspires me: people, noises, smells, colours, places, sentences, etc.
Sometimes I actually live something and, some time later (it can take hours, days or even months) I write about it, which does not mean that I tell exactely what has happened: I create a story based on a piece of reality.
However, there's no bigger inspiration than love.
Sara Trigo The best thing about being a writer is to be able to create my own world, with my own characters and stories. I can live several lives without even having to move.
And, on top of that, I am allowed to present these creations to other people who read and criticise them.
I don't think there's anything better than this.
