Justin Bohardt The third book in the Invasion of Miraval cycle, the sequel to 111 Souls, and a standalone project called Psychopomp Symphony, about a musical prodigy who learns that he has the ability to harvest the souls of the dying and gathers great powers from them.
Justin Bohardt Reading what you've written and enjoying it. A close second is someone else reading it and enjoying it.
Justin Bohardt Realize that you need to prioritize. Until you hit it big (which most never do- most published authors hold full-time "real" jobs), you need a real job, you might want a family, you might have other hobbies, etc. There are only so many hours in the day, so you have to decide if writing is really going to be something you want to do as a profession or something you want to do as a hobby. If the former, you have to let a lot of other stuff fall by the wayside as your "real job" and writing will take up a lot of your time.
Justin Bohardt I suppose it depends on our definition of writer's block, because it's something that I would say I haven't had. At least, I've never had a situation where I'm completely stumped on all items simultaneously. Generally, I'm working on multiple projects simultaneously, so I hop back and forth between them if I start to lose momentum on one. The other recommendation I would make is to jump around in your story if necessary. If you've completed Part I and you know what happens in Part IV, but are struggling with Parts II and III, just skip them and write the end of your book. You might figure out, but at least you're still writing.
