The experiences I've had with my mother's and daughter's mental illness inspire me to write. I'm hoping that the lessons I've learned along the way can help others and even make life better for people with mental illness.

A book that has developed as a result of speaking engagements I've had on college campuses for "Surrounded By Madness." The working title of the next book is "Beyond Madness: Serious Mental Illness and What to do About it." The book takes an inside look at serious mental illness through several case studies and addresses the things that need to change so that people with serious mental illness will no longer live in prisons or on the streets.
