I put the story down for a while, but not too long. If I wait too long then I lose the flow of the story. Most of the time I just write. When I finished the first book in the Viking series I had to go back and change the chronology of events. I kept writing the story and got lost and the time element was off. I picture myself there, my feelings, emotions, and adventure.

Knowing that people enjoy the story. Bad reviews are tough because I want everyone to like what I write, but that will not always be the case. I just love to sit down and watch a story unfold before my eyes.

Be yourself, write what you like, and tell the story for the sake of the story. I have so many story ideas that I want to jump into the next one before I am finished with the one I am on. I have to force myself to focus. Its my ADAHD, squirrel.

I am working on the Viking Chronicles. The first book is in editing and I am writing the second in the trilogy.

I love telling stories. When my children were young I told "Mountain Men" stories. Now when my grandchildren talk with me on Skype they always ask, "grandpa tell us a story." I just can't stop.

Centurion came in a dream. I know that sounds weird, but I woke up with a specific scene in my head and couldn't shake it. As I researched the Roman army the story fell into place.
