A novel set on an Indian reservation in the Arizona desert. An Afghanistan Army Ranger comes home with P.T.D.S to find his wife has left him and he has no prospects outside the military except to teach. He decides to teach young Indian children at a school near the Mexican border. He becomes the football coach. He is reunited with a beautiful congresswoman whom he had escorted while at the war zone in the mountains of Afghanistan. He thought he'd found peace of mind and left the horrors of war far behind, but his demons have followed him. Worst yet, the woman that he's falling in love with is being threaten with death.

I don't mind being alone. I like listening to music while I write. Creating a real character is magic. Once you have real characters they start talking and acting on their own and you only need to keep up page after page.

I'm only creative for about 1000 words a day or 4 hours. I try not to break records and write 4000 words a day. My best writing is when I search for a scene. It may take all day to get the momentum, but once I'm there I don't stop for anything until a thousand words are produced.
