Mark E. Cooper There are 4, but will eventually be 5. I want to do book 5, but it keeps getting pushed back.
Mark E. Cooper I'm glad you like the series. I'm sure you've already read some of these, but my favorites (not necessarily the same as my Merki though) in sci-fi are:

Chanur Series by C. J Cherryh
Honour Harrington series by David Weber
Troy Rising series by John Ringo
Black Tide Rising series by John Ringo
Empire of Man series by John Ringo

One of my favorite Urban Fantasy series is Kate Daniels by iLona Andrews
Mark E. Cooper I hate to say I don't know, but I really don't. Plans are one thing, carrying them out another. I want to say Dec 2017 but I make no promises. I get hate mail all the time for not finishing Devan Chronicles, so I'm doing that first
Mark E. Cooper I assume you mean book 5 of Merkiaari Wars. That's out this year.
Mark E. Cooper All of my books have simultaneous worldwide releases in ebook, paper, and audio. Incursion is 2016
Mark E. Cooper The story originally had 12 books planned. Due to the way I write (way too slow) I'm going to combine 2 making a total of 10.

BUT

I've been asked to write about specific historical events such as first contact with the Merkiaari, the long retreat, the creation of the first viper, the Hacker Rebellion, the fall of Kushiel...

So lots to do after the original 10.
Mark E. Cooper There are, yes. They should be read in this order:

Hard Duty
What Price Honour
Operation Oracle
Operation Breakout
Incursion (TBA)
Countermeasures (TBA)

All of them have an audio book or paperback edition. Mikael Naramore narrates all of my work, not just this series.

Thanks for your question,

Mark E. Cooper

Mark E. Cooper Hey Janet, thanks for the review. Unfortunately the prizes were given out last Saturday. The "rules" were simply to open the mail and click the link provided so you know for the future contests.

I'm planning one of these things for Christmas too. Last year the prize was a Kindle Voyage. This year might be the same or a gift cert. Maybe something else.

I will probably do more in between now and then, so keep an eye out for that.,

Mark E. Cooper I guess from experience of writing other books, and from reading. I am a strong believer in writers needing to love books and reading. I rarely watch movies or TV anymore, and reading time is limited, but I DO listen to audio books A LOT now.

Mark
Mark E. Cooper I've had the idea for Incursion in my head for years. It's book 5 of a 12 book series. The plot is in my scrap book/notebook, and has been waiting all that time while I wrote books in the Shifter Legacies series and Rune Gate series.
Mark E. Cooper I'm really behind. I won't give a month (because I've screwed up deadlines before as you know.) I'll have to say 2016 now. I DO have the cover done, and I DO have some of the first draft done, but it's very far from finished.

Mark E. Cooper I have a serious problem with writer's block. Others tell me it doesn't exist, but it does. For me, I get blocked when I'm writing something I don't enjoy. My subconscious is telling me to scrap it and start over, but I'm too stubborn.

I get out of the problem by writing something in another project--something I DO enjoy. The old blocked book simmers in the back of my brain, and an answer usually comes to me. I can then go back and fix the original problem.
