After "Her Turning Point: Her Divine, Glorious, Happy Divorce," I saw how Isabel's mother had her own story to tell. It's even more powerful than Isabel's, and hopefully not as dark or heavy. I love how Isabel experiences triumph, and I think that's an important message. We all have the opportunity to transcend our most harrowing life experiences.

I get to be me! I've been fortunate for quite a few years that I can paint whenever I feel moved to. Writing for me is another form of expressing myself. I love the process I've developed with painting, which turns out to be quite similar for my writing.

Fortunately, I've been able to write unperturbed. This, I understand, may not always be the case, so I've decided that if I feel blocked, I will read books that are similar to how I want to write. It's been my process as an artist, that when I feel blocked, I attend many art gallery shows for inspiration. It's worked in painting and I'm really, really hoping that other books will be just the thing for writing!
