Paul Watson The idea for The Prophesy of Hermes came out of my love the Mediterranean area, the sea and animals. I wanted to write a book about the importance of relationships and how they allow for the solution of problems.
Paul Watson For me, writing comes rather naturally. Whenever I have a few relaxed moments, the pen fills the paper effortlessly. But the computer has to wait for a sufficient block of time to transfer those thoughts into digital form where they can be edited.
Paul Watson I just finished writing The Prophesy of Hermes. Now I am writing another story about Hermes the sailor cat. But the story I am working on is about the early life of Hermes and how he became a sailor cat.
Paul Watson Read and read a lot. Write and write a lot. Criticize and perfect your work. Be open to the suggestions of others whether spoken or written. That said, we can not believe everything we are told. So it becomes a personal matter of what to "take on board" and what to "leave behind". But in the end, our writing should please others, so it is necessary that we genuinely listen to their thoughts and reactions concerning our works.
