I'm a huge theater geek and general fan of the arts. That's how the whole Art of Seduction series was born. I wanted at least one of the main characters in each book to have an arts-related profession. Hence, Nick and Holly: theater; Devin: painting; Ivy: photography; and Noelle: ballet.

I had a great fifth grade teacher who got me hooked on creative writing, although she gave me a check minus for grammar for one story that I wrote in first person. The narrator was a poor southern girl who used words like "ain't" and "fixin' to." Clearly, I was ahead of my time and she failed to recognize my brilliance LOL.

I just finished Triple Time, the second book in the Art of Seduction series, and am working on the next book in the series, Triple Dare. Triple Time is Gabe and Devin's story; both were secondary characters in Triple Threat. Triple Dare is Nelson sibling Ivy's story with her brother Gabe's best friend, Cade.

Read, read, read. Then park your butt in a chair and write. And join a writers group, if you can. I'm a member of RWA and my local chapter, and it's been invaluable. Writing can be a solitary endeavor. It helps to have friends, beta readers, and critique partners who understand what you're going through.
