Although I know not everyone is able to do this, I keep going. Even if what I write is total crap, I keep going. My philosophy is that it's easier to write a bad page than a blank one.

The inspiration to write zaps me like a thunderbolt. I'll be sitting reading, watching TV, driving, etc. and ZAP! The need to get in front of my computer and keyboard is too much to resist. This happens primarily by the things I see. It could be the way someone moves their hands. A specific color. A house in a show. A song. Inspiration comes from the world around me.

For years, I've felt like a square peg in a round-hole world because my love for art (most mediums) and for classical and opera music (I'm still a rock girl at heart though) because I didn't really fit in with the one biological side of my family or my parent's adopted side. I literally stuck out and had no place to fit.
A few years ago, an ancestry test answered solved this mystery. Even though my bio grandfather had passed, his sister's children were able to give me and my family a clear picture of who he was and what he loved. Turns out, most of what I love is what he loved as well. The mystery of 'who am I like?" Come to find out, it was my granddad. We share a multitude of traits and commonalities. Finding out who he is and all there was to know was the solution to the mystery of where I come from and what makes me me. (hide spoiler)]
